Is there really no legal protection in such matters? Just curious.
One thing you always have over them is that your are a better designer and a true innovator. Sorry to hear this has been so stressful for you. |

Paul, in away wouldnt be better for you to be silent about this? Probably 90% of people dont know its a copy of your design. But now you just told them so in away you just got people more interested in the Dano.
I would just come out and say they are nothing a like and they use cheaper components. If anything this thread made me think, Damn, I better buy one of those Danos before they convert over to the new ones. any way just be wothless 2 cents. Less you talk about it the less people will know about it and opt to huy the cheaper pedal.

I was just saying talking about it makes people aware of it, I am not going to buy either pedal but if I was I would by the TIM as I want to support my local builder.
I never download shareware or music, I still by CD,s and I hate ipods. I hate technology in general and wish I was the age I am now in the 70's

Going to throw in my tuppenceworth here-
I've had both and there is a big difference. Paul's pedals sound nicer on more settings than the Dano. The Dano can be dialled in to approximate the tone of some of the Timmy's sounds, but I don't think it's the same. The difference may be subtle but it's there. A bigger factor though is the PAIN IN THE ASS controls on the Dano. Big turn off. I know that the damage has been done, just hope that most tonehounds will realise that Paul's pedals are not only better sounding but way, way better built, and ultimately worth the money. |
