Frank Gorshin is a better mimic than Rich Little. He was the best mimic in the world. No one else came close. He kicked ass on every other mimic he ever appeared with. There's no contest. If you disagree with that, you're stupid. Let me see a clip of YOU doing Jimmy Cagney or John Wayne! You obviously don't know anything about impersonations. I'll bet you can't even do Nixon. Bah!

... from the old mimics thread: Gorshin dusts Little.

Gorshin dusts little indeed. He couldn't even impersonate the inside of a wet paper bag. He couldn't even impersonate himself. Rich Little has more impersonation in the nail of his pinkie finger than FG has in his whole family tree, which, no doubt, is mainly made up of missing links. These are not opinions, my friend, but objective facts, and if you don't agree, you are simply showing your ignorance.

And to the OP, way to go stereotyping and trashing Irishmen. Clearly they get dusted by everybody, something I think we can all agree upon.

I don't usually participate in them (other than stupid comments I toss in) but I find them amusing.. it is a guitar forum that likes to talk about guitar players..go figure.... so I'm guessing for some people its no different than comparing two race cars or two pizza joints..and some peeps really feel the need to express who they really dig or don't dig...... some people just don't feel its hurting anything and some do.. so thats the controversy I guess..... its just opinions .... anyhow, thats why I think it goes on here... I can take it or leave.. I don't think these discussions are going to hurt the guitar playing world in anyway.. just my .02

As a beer swilling Irishman, I resemble that remark!
