Brad Whitford of Aerosmith

Hey guys

I saw Aerosmith last night, and Whitford had two amps on stage. 1 was a Divided by 13, and another was what appeared to be a velvet coverved amp with an Aerosmtht logo etched into it.

I know he traditioanlly plays BOGNER, divided by 13 and a Marshall head through Bogner 4X12's but this amp did not look familiar or like any of the aforementioned.

Can anyone shed some light on his new amp?

Thanks

Its a Blockhead. He was using the Ectasy early on but got rid of that for some better tone once his usual guitar tech got back on the tour. I've heard the Blockhead sounds awesome, total vintage vibe.

I am not familiar with blockhead, but I am assuming there are various models (I will research). Do you know what model he is playing?

Underrated is an understatement. I saw Brad when he and Derrick St. Holmes had their project going, many moons ago. We were so close we could have unplugged their guitars. Was a really cool show, lots of great material and well worth our time, if I recall correctly.

How is saying that his playing doesn't get enough recognition, kicking him in the face. It sounds complimentary to me. Joe's great too, but he'd be the first to tell you that Brad is the better of the 2.

I agree with all of the statements about Brad Whitford above. Joe Perry is one of my favorite guitarist of all time I must admit. I love his taste and his sounds. Always have.
