CP Thornton Tone Quest review
Apparently the Tone Quest folks were very impressed with CP Thornton guitars. A review appears in the latest issue, according to Chuck's web site.
I'd love to read the article but no one I know is a subscriber and the subscription price is a bit high for interest in just that piece. Would anyone be willing to send me your copy to read after you're done with it? I'll be happy to send it back. Thanks

Found a copy of The Tone Quest Report about CP Thornton guitars.
To say they 'liked' them would be a drastic understatement. Confirms what the boards have been saying. For the curious, truly worth investigating.

I thought that the reviews were great, but I really enjoyed the interview and story behind Thornton and how he got started with building and the the business. Good stuff, unique guitars and construction concepts.

Great Design, Great Guitars
My only two Electrics are Cp Thornton's. I bought an Elite as a lightweight replacement for my Les Pauls, and I replaced my Strats and Teles with a Fusion.
With these two guitars I can get ANY tone imaginable. The playability is far superior to any guitar I've ever played. I have owned some highly coveted vintage Fender and Gibson guitars that are not even in the same league with the Cp Thorntons. I just hope that this review doesn't make the prices go out of control like some other makers have jumped on. He's pretty much a one-man operation making the guitars with some very expensive CNC equipment. I'm glad that I jumped on the bandwagon early as it were....

Hey Vibrolucky,
Try to find a copy of the report. It's great. Interview, review, the works. I passed on a Fusion in favor of a Blues Queen in the October-start batch. I got an e-mail from Chuck advising me to get my deposit in now because his guitars, specifically the October batch has become very popular since the article was printed. (He had twice told me not to send it in "early", preferring to take it as orders were processed.) His phone must quite busy these days.
